Leonardo DiCaprio’s girlfriend Camila Morrone has finally broken her silence on the 23-year age gap between them.

While talking to the Los Angeles Times, the 22-year-old model-turned-actress defended her relationship by making a rare comment about her romance with the “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” star and noted that she doesn’t care about the age difference because age is just a number for her.

Morrone explained that there have been so many relationships in Hollywood and in the history of the world where people have large age gaps. She further stated that everyone should be allowed to date whoever they want to.

Morrone rarely talked about her relationship with the Academy Award-winning actor and does not get bothered when people talk about their age gap because she understands why so many people are interested in it.

The actress is busy these days promoting her upcoming movie “Mickey And The Bear.” The film is creating a lot of positive buzz and currently has a score of 100 percent on review site Rotten Tomatoes. Morrone, who is being widely praised for her acting skills in the movie, believes that she is really lucky to have got a chance to do this film because she is getting an “identity” of her own.

“I think more and more now that people are seeing the film I am slowly getting an identity outside of that. Which is frustrating because I feel like there should always be an identity besides who you are dating,” Morrone said.

She concluded by saying that she hopes that the talks about her relationship with DiCaprio become “less of a conversation.”

Rumors of the “Revenant” star and Morrone dating first surfaced in December 2017. Prior to this, the "Titanic" star had been linked to several women, mostly models, and the list includes: Bar Refaeli, Kelly Rohrbach, Blake Lively, Erin Heatherton, Gisele Bündchen and Toni Garn.

In the summer of 2018, DiCaprio and Morrone were photographed enjoying a romantic getaway together in Europe. Last year, it was widely reported that the couple was reportedly considering marriage. A source told Us Weekly that they were really serious and marriage was on the cards for the two of them.
