Hilarie Burton is set to make a comeback to FOX’s “Lethal Weapon.”

According to TVLine, Burton will reprise her role as DEA agent Karen Palmer in Season 1, Episodes 15 and 17 of the buddy cop series.

Burton, who rose to prominence for her portrayal of Peyton Sawyer on the WB/CW drama “One Tree Hill,” made her debut appearance on “Lethal Weapon” in Episode 7, titled “Fashion Police.” In the episode, Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) and Riggs (Clayne Crawford) met Palmer while investigating the murder of a fashion expeditor that was connected to a case the DEA agent has been working on for years.

While Palmer made it clear from the start that she had no interest in teaming up with the crime-solving duo, the pair’s recklessness proved to be very helpful in her ongoing underground investigation.

In an interview with TVLine last November, Burton revealed that she had a great time filming the episode with Wayans and Crawford.

“I can’t tell you how much I love Damon Wayans,” Burton said. “He was incredibly kind to me and I may have geeked out over my ’90s memories of ‘Major Payne’ and ‘In Living Color.’ He’s an icon!”

As for her experience working with Crawford, the 34-year-old actress said: “Clayne was so fun to play off of. We were a couple of rowdy Southern kids chasing bad guys!”

In related news, executive producer Matt Miller recently revealed to Screener that Leo Getz — the character played by Joe Pesci in three “Lethal Weapon” films — will make an appearance on the show later in the season.

“Lethal Weapon’s” next episode, titled “Lawmen” airs on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX. Check out the synopsis and preview clip for Season 1, episode 11 below:

“Murtaugh and Riggs are pitted against the LA Sheriff's department when the killing of a Texas Ranger leads them to believe a possible misuse of power is at play. Just as the partners are sure they’ve found their culprit, the case becomes even more complicated when a dark secret is dug up from Captain Avery’s (Kevin Rahm) past.”
