Another prototype for the LG G6 was caught in the wild at the end of last week. The leaked photo of this prototype is already making rounds online and is getting attention because it appears to confirm previous leaks about the upcoming device.

Just this past Sunday, Chinese website IT Home published a snap of what it claims to be the front panel of the LG G6. Though this is not the first time a prototype for the upcoming handset was leaked in pictures, this is the first render that puts emphasis on the front panel of the handset.

By the looks of it, the LG G5 successor has a different appearance from its predecessor. This is obvious on the white top bezel of the G6 in the photo. The G5 had a black top bezel that gave it a somehow bezel-less look when the phone’s screen is not turned on. It also gave the impression that the display covers more than 95 percent of the front panel.

As for the leaked LG G6, it may seem like it is embracing the typical design of many smartphones on the market today. The render shows almost absent side bezels and thin top and bottom bezels. What makes the front panel interesting is how the screen’s corners are quite rounded to mimic the strikingly curved corners of the device itself.

The new leak also corroborates past information about the extra-wide display of the G6. LG calls its display technology for the next flagship device the “Full Vision.” The company has also confirmed that the 5.7-inch screen has an 18:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 1440 x 2880.

Meanwhile, LG itself revealed on its Korean language website that the G6 is going to debut with an upgraded Quad DAC that will be beneficial to music enthusiasts. The new 32-bit Quad DAC is the improved version of the one found on the LG V20. It is designed to ensure exceptional sound balance and an impressive noise-cancellation feature that lowers the distortion levels to 0.0002 percent.

LG is reportedly unveiling the G6 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month. Stay tuned for more updates about the Galaxy S8 rival handset.
