Former professional boxer Mike Tyson is all set to make his Bollywood debut with director Karan Johar's upcoming movie "Liger."

The 49-year-old filmmaker took to Twitter Monday to share a video of Tyson and actor Vijay Deverakonda, who will play the key role.

In the one-minute video, several photos of Tyson, 55, were shown, and in the background, running commentary of his matches was played. At the end of the clip, Tyson and Deverakonda's half faces could be seen together with the movie's title appearing on the screen.

"For the first time ever, the king of the ring will be seen on the big screens of Indian cinema!" Johar wrote in the caption. "Welcoming @MikeTyson to the #LIGER team!Boxing glove #NamasteTyson."

Deverakonda, 32, shared the photo of his and Tyson's half-faced poster and wrote, "Get the Fireworks ready 2022!"

Fans took to the comments section to share their reaction.

One of the fans wrote, "I want to celebrate and enjoy fireworks with my dream love, with u my #LIGER ✌ #ROWDY ❤ VJ @thedeverakonda ❣ #DVS. I am waiting for you soooooo long my #HoneyBee."

Another fan shared his concern regarding the legend's appearance in a Bollywood movie and commented, "Better stop..let that legend live his life peacefully than act on film where logic is not a consent since always hero is given the most priority."

"Liger" is a sports action flick directed and penned by Puri Jagannadh. Johar, Charmme Kaur, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar and Jagannadh serve as producers under Dharma Productions and Puri Connects company.

The movie also stars Ananya Pandey, Ramya Krishnan and Makarand Deshpande in the key roles. Jagannadh told International Business Times that Tyson's scenes will be filmed in Las Vegas. The action movie will be released in various Indian languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

Besides "Liger," Tyson will be next seen in an action thriller movie, "Vendetta," which is currently under post-production. The film is helmed by Jared Cohn and stars Bruce Willis, Thomas Jane and Clive Standen.

He will also feature in the movie "Soul Business" which is currently under pre-production.
