The Long Island resident who shot at a cop and fled two weeks ago was finally arrested on Sunday.

Leroy Jones, 27, was arrested by the Suffolk County Police on multiple charges including aggravated attempted murder, criminal use of a firearm, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of an accident.

According to the New York Post, Jones crashed his 2020 Volvo on the passenger side of a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder on Dec. 23 around 8:30 P.M. in Middle Island.

Jones fled the scene upon the arrival of the police and during the chase he attempted to fire with a handgun at a pursuing cop but missed.

The cop fired back but the suspect continued fleeing and slipped away.

The driver of the Nissan was treated for minor injuries at the Stony Brook University Hospital.

Jones’ arraignment on Monday was held at the First District Court on Central Slip.
