Netflix announced the premiere date for the second season of the long-awaited popular series "Love Alarm" Sunday. "Love Alarm" is one of the most popular Korean dramas on Netflix.

It is an emotional, romantic drama that is set in an alternate reality where humans are dependent on an application called "Love Alarm" to find true love. The application alerts the users when someone who has feelings for them enters within a 10-meter radius around the user.

According to Netflix, the second season of the webtoon based series is set to air on March 12. Netflix Korea took to social media to confirm the news on Valentine’s day.

"On Valentine’s Day, we weren’t sure what to give you, so we brought you this. Like a present, the second season of ‘Love Alarm’ is coming to you. On March 12, come face to face with Netflix," the announcement read, according to Soompi.

The first season of the webtoon adaptation aired in August 2019 and received positive reviews. Following this, a second season was confirmed in October 2019, and photos from the script reading were released in February 2020.

Love Alarm season 2 was expected to air in August 2020. However, the release date for the second season was significantly delayed and fans were disappointed to learn that it was pushed back to 2021.

It has been confirmed that the main cast of the first season -- Song Kang, Kim So Hyun, and Jung Ga Ram, will be returning in the upcoming season.

Two teaser images for "Love Alarm 2" were also released and shared by the actors on their social media account, leaving fans curious as they look forward to what’s in store for the love-triangle drama which ended with a cliffhanger.

Meanwhile, Song Kang is gearing up for his lead role in the upcoming series "Navillera" where he plays the role of Chae Rok, a 23-year-old ballet dancer who gets lost while chasing his dreams.

Whereas, actress Kim Soo Hyun’s much-anticipated drama series "River Where the Moon Rises" will be premiering on Feb. 15 at 9:30 p.m. KST (7:30 a.m. EST) on KBS2.
