It's official! CBS has renewed "Love Island" for Season 2!

The network announced the news in a press release on Thursday. A new set of Islanders will head to Fiji in search of love when the U.S. version of the hit U.K. show returns next summer.

“The passion of 'Love Island’s' audience is incredible,” said Kelly Kahl, President of CBS Entertainment. “The intensity of their social media engagement has created tremendous enthusiasm for the series here at the Network. We love the show’s creative execution and can’t wait for next season.”

Thom Sherman, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming, added, “After its first season, the U.K. version exploded via word of mouth and social media to become a huge hit, and its viewership has grown every year. We believe first season U.S. fans are just as passionate and engaged and we look forward to building on that foundation with another fun season next summer.”

The first season of "Love Island" is still airing but CBS is currently accepting entries for its next set of Islanders. Wannabe contestants can fill out the online application for consideration.
