Lucifer
“Lucifer” Season 2 returns on Jan. 16 on Fox. Bettina Strauss/Fox

The Season 2 fall finale of “Lucifer” revealed a shocking fact about Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German): She’s special. Amenadiel (D. B. Woodside) met Chloe’s mother and remembered that she and John were the ones he blessed 30 years ago to have a child. The detective is a miracle child and she was intentionally put on the devil’s (Tom Ellis) path by God.

What will happen next on “Lucifer”?

Here are five things we learned from the promo of the upcoming episode, titled “Stewardess Interruptus”:

1. Charlotte Doesn’t Keep Chloe’s Real Identity A Secret

Charlotte/mom (Tricia Helfer) isn’t going to keep this information about Chloe to herself and Amenadiel. The video shows her breaking the news to Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt).

2. Chloe’s Nose Keeps Bleeding … Is She Dying?

Perhaps the most shocking part of the trailer of “Lucifer” Season 2, episode 11 is that Chloe’s nose keeps bleeding … and it won’t stop. Something is definitely wrong with her. This perpetual bleeding nose problem could either be one of mom’s schemes or it may have something to do with what Chloe really is.

3. The Fox Series Returns On Monday, Jan. 16

Alas, it will be a long time before we get some answers. “Lucifer” doesn’t return until January 2017.

4. We Will Get More Information About The Detective

Although the trailer doesn’t state it, it is safe to assume that we will learn more about why the Detective is special when the Fox TV show returns next year.

5. Amenadiel And Mom Continue To Manipulate Lucifer Towards Chloe

The mother-son duo will continue to manipulate Lucifer and Chloe toward each other for their own gain. Amenadiel has really become a mama’s boy.

“Lucifer” Season 2 returns with episode 11 on Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
