  • The Los Angeles Clippers clinched the series in Game 6 to eliminate the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Playoffs
  • Marcus Morris was ejected during the first quarter of the game after a flagrant foul on Luka Doncic
  • Doncic said he "does not want to deal with" a player like Morris

Luka Doncic says he has had enough of Marcus Morris Sr. following yet another physical encounter that led to the ejection of the latter during the Dallas Mavericks’ Game 6 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.

"Terrible foul," Doncic said of Morris’ hard contact above his shoulders during the first quarter of the game, which the Mavs eventually lost, 111-97, to mark the end of their season, per Bleacher Report.

Doncic and Morris had been on each other’s faces all series long that even led to some fans accusing the Clippers’ forward of intentionally hurting the young All-Star.

The uproar came on the heels of an incident in Game 5 where Morris was seen stepping on Doncic’s injured foot, to which the Mavs superstar had hoped was not done in purpose – until the latest foul from the veteran forced him to reconsider his judgment.

"Two games in a row he did something like that. I really hoped the first one wasn't on purpose but looking back at the foul this game, you know what I think. I don't want to deal with that kind of player," Doncic said.

Morris took exception to the criticisms after Game 5 and wrote: "I play this game with a level of respect for myself and other players. To think I would try to injure somebody is crazy to me. 10 years going against the best. I stand on morals and hard work. I compete and leave it out there every game."

Taking the raw end of the intense physically from the Clippers, however, failed to obstruct Doncic from delivering a historic run in his first taste of the NBA Playoffs. Despite the first-round exit, the Slovenian phenom has already fixed his name in the NBA postseason history books, giving a glimpse of the bright future in Dallas.

The 21-year-old racked up 30 points, eight assists, and eight rebounds in his playoff debut – a first in NBA postseason history. With Kristaps Porzingis sidelined due to a knee injury, the 2019 Rookie of the Year proved that he was more than ready to take the load for the Mavs, showcasing it in Game 4 of the series where he delivered a 40-point triple-double capped by a resounding three-pointer at the buzzer to win the game.
