Fresh rumors suggest Apple is currently working on 13-inch and 15-inch models of MacBook Air 2016. Early speculations suggest that both the devices will be launched by the end of second quarter this year.

According to Mac Rumors that cites information from Digitimes, Apple will be refreshing its 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models by June this year. It has reported that the new MacBooks may get unveiled during the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) 2016 event that will be held between June 13 to 17.

It has further stated that the appearance of the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBooks will be similar to that of the existing 12-inch model. However, both the new MacBooks Air 2016 models are expected to sport ultrathin form factor than the existing MacBooks.

Apple is currently selling MacBook Air models in two sizes, 11-inch and 13-inch. Hence, it will be company’s first attempt at launching a 15-inch model. Both models are expected to be powered by the faster performing Skylake chips and Thunderbolt 3 with USB-C.

Apple is also speculated to be working on a 12-inch MacBook that will arrive with a Retina Display. Its listing on the OS X Server application and System Image Utility tool suggest that it is slated to release by “early 2016.”

Since the Cupertino company is known for using “early 2016” for devices that are released in the initial four months of the year, the purported 12-inch MacBook is expected to get introduced very soon. It is expected to arrive in CPU variants like Core M3-6Y30, Core M5-6Y54 and Core M7-6Y75 that will work at 2.20 GHz, 2.70 GHz and 3.10 GHz, respectively.

Recently, Apple had unveiled its newest tablet, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and a 4-inch iPhone SE smartphone. Both the devices will be available on preorders starting from March 24. Apple will begin the shipment of both products by March 31.
