KEY POINTS

  • Honey Boo Boo shared the official poster for her family’s next meet and greet with fans
  • Mama June is still not part of the tour, while her sister Doe Doe has been confirmed to attend
  • Pumpkin and Alana’s sister Jessica Shannon will also attend the fan event in Georgia

Mama June Shannon’s sister Joanne “Doe Doe” Shannon will join the reality family’s summer tour sans the controversial matriarch.

On Wednesday, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 16, dropped the poster for their next meet and greet with fans on Instagram. Aside from her 20-year-old boyfriend Dralin Carswell, her aunt Doe Doe is featured in the promotional material.

Doe Doe is the older sister of Mama June, 42. She has made appearances on the different reality shows of Mama June’s family, and the 56-year-old has established a good following among the viewers for her bubbly and caring personality.

According to Alana’s post, Doe Doe will be joining Honey Boo Boo and Dralin, as well as Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 22, her husband Josh Efird, 26, and their kids — Ella Grace, 4, Bentley Jameson, 1, and newborn twins Stella Renae and Sylus Rae — on their Atlanta, Georgia, meet and greet on Aug. 14.

In addition, the poster also revealed that Pumpkin and Honey Boo Boo’s sister Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, 25, will also attend the event, which will feature “live music, autographs and photos” with the TV stars.

The official description post on Eventbrite’s website indicated that the exact location of the gathering in Atlanta will be listed a week before the event. But it’s already confirmed that the meet and greet will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on its scheduled date.

Doe Doe won the hearts of many viewers when she stepped up and helped her nieces after Mama June abandoned them in March 2019 to be with her ex-boyfriend Geno Doak. Hence, it’s not surprising that fans love seeing her on the ongoing season of “Mama June: Road to Redemption.”

When Mama June and Doe Doe shared snippets from the show on the same day earlier this month, their posts received contrasting responses from fans. Many slammed Mama June, saying they no longer want to see her on the show. On the other hand, several praised Doe Doe for always helping Pumpkin and her family.

“I don’t watch [the show] for you, June. I watch for your children now. I see no redemption. Pumpkin and Alana should have their own show now,” one wrote on Mama June’s post.

“You are such a good woman for stepping up and helping. I love watching you on the show. [Y]ou are such a caring person. I know that they all love you,” another fan commented on Doe Doe’s post.

“Mama June: Road to Redemption” is set to air its finale episode this Friday at 9 p.m. EDT on We TV.
