A 27-year-old man in Ocala, Florida, was arrested Tuesday for engaging in sex acts with a dog.

According to the arrest affidavit, the incident came to light in February when a woman went to the Ocala Police Department to submit a mobile phone that her brother had found in a restaurant.

The woman, whose name was not released, told the police that while trying to identify the owner of the phone, she found several “disturbing images and text messages.” She then managed to recognize the man in one of the videos on the phone as an employee at a restaurant where the phone was found, the Ocala Star Banner reported.

Investigators identified the man as Jesse C. Allen. The man had a Facebook page filled with animated images of animals, most of which were of "dog-like creatures", “engaging in vulgar sexual acts.”

Investigator Josh Fried then obtained a search warrant for the phone and found images of the accused engaging in sexual activities with a dog. Videos of dogs having sex with women and images of the animals' private parts were also found on the phone.

During interrogation, Allen admitted to having sex with a dog and said it had been “going on for some time.” He said the dog was named Rocky.

Allen was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with two counts of “sexual activity involving animals.” He was held at Marion County Jail on a $2,000 bail. The dog, on the other hand, was in the custody of animal control officers.

Describing Allen as a hardworking employee, his boss told the Ocala Star Banner that the accused had worked at the restaurant on and off for two years. He said the staff was shocked to know about his arrest.

In a similar incident in February, a Florida man was charged with animal cruelty for sexually assaulting his pet Siberian husky and sharing videos of the act online. The incident came to light after a man contacted the Pinellas County Animal Services after finding videos of a man, dressed in a black-and-white husky dog costume, engaging in sexual activity with a dog. Investigators tracked the videos to Christian Stewart Oscar Nichols and went to his home. Nichols was taken into custody after he admitted to the assault, the Sun Sentinel reported.
