A man in Parkland, Washington, was robbed and held hostage for hours by a young woman he met on a dating app.

The 19-year-old woman and her 22-year-old accomplice were arrested and charged, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department said in a statement released on social media Tuesday.

The victim, aged 30, reported the incident to the sheriff's office Saturday and said he met the woman, Hydea Marie Tharpe, on the app called Plenty of Fish, according to KING 5. The woman pretended to be around the same age as the unidentified victim.

The man said he decided to meet Tharpe in an apartment complex and drove over. Within five minutes of the man entering the apartment, the male suspect named Jahmichael Anthony Jeter III walked out with a gun and ordered him to take his clothes off and hand over his cash, the report said.

Tharpe also took photos of the victim while he was nude.

"The suspects ordered the victim to unlock his cell phone and then instructed him to transfer $6,000 to their account using an app," the Pierce County Sheriff's Department said in the statement.

"The transaction failed because it was flagged as fraudulent. The suspects made the victim attempt numerous other transactions via various apps and even posed as the victim over the phone to try to get an account unlocked," the statement added.

The suspects released the victim after holding him hostage for three hours. They also threatened to share his naked photos with all his phone contacts if he spoke to anyone about the incident, according to the report.

The victim eventually called 911 and reported the series of events. Investigators managed to identify the two suspects using details provided by the victim as well as social media, according to ABC News.

Deputies responded to a domestic violence assault report the next day and found themselves in the same apartment where they recognized Jeter for being involved in holding the 30-year-old man hostage.

Deputies also arrested Tharpe from the apartment complex and charged her with robbery in the first degree, kidnapping in the first degree and extortion in the first degree.

Her male accomplice was charged with robbery in the first degree, kidnapping in the first degree, extortion in the first degree, unlawful possession of a firearm in the first degree, and malicious mischief in the first degree.

"The male suspect has multiple prior felony convictions, including a juvenile conviction for robbery in the first degree, and convictions for assault in the second degree and residential burglary as an adult," the sheriff's office said. "He also has a prior conviction for unlawful possession of a firearm and is currently on supervision with the Department of Corrections."
