KEY POINTS

  • Man Utd's last league game ended in a loss to Arsenal
  • They are in fourth place in the Premier League table
  • Man Utd have won three out of their last five league games

Manchester United will host Crystal Palace at Old Trafford in a Premier League game Saturday.

The previous meeting between the two sides at Selhurst Park ended in a 1-1 draw. The Red Devils are 15 points ahead of Crystal Palace in the league table. Erik ten Hag's team has 39 points from 20 matches and are in the fourth spot, while Crystal Palace are in the 12th spot. A win on Saturday would see Manchester United go six points clear of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United are a win away from lifting their first trophy since 2017. Ten Hag's side sealed a place in the League Cup final after defeating Nottingham Forest 5-0 on aggregate in the semi-final.

After an easy 3-0 win in the first leg of the last-four game, Manchester United bagged a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture Wednesday, thanks to goals from Anthony Martial and Fred, both assisted by in-form Marcus Rashford.

The Red Devils will lock horns with Newcastle United in the League Cup final, which is scheduled to be played at Wembley Stadium on Feb. 26.

Manchester United at the moment are in high spirits and Ten Hag would want to capitalize on that ahead of his side's home clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

They have won three out of their last five outings in the Premier League. They also managed to be unbeaten in 11 out of their last 12 matches in all competitions, winning 10 of those.

Considering the Red Devils' upcoming meeting with Crystal Palace is at Old Trafford, the hosts will enter the game as favorites. Manchester United have won their last 12 home games, which is their longest winning run at Old Trafford in a single season since the 2010-11 campaign (17).
