  • There will be a lightsaber duel in "The Mandalorian" Season 2
  • A leaked picture teases a lightsaber that may belong to Ahsoka
  • Moff Gideon is expected to fight the former Jedi

Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) may be getting a new lightsaber in “The Mandalorian” Season 2. A leaked picture of gifts for the crew members of the TV series has surfaced online that has teased a lighsaber duel between the former Jedi and Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito). The picture has also revealed the new weapon the fans will get to see.

The introduction of the Darksaber has set the stage for some epic action sequences on the show this year. Moff Gideon may be testing his duelling skills against Ahsoka Tano, who will be making her live action debut after appearing in “Clone Wars” and “Rebels” animation series. A picture of the gifts to the crew members that has been posted on Reddit teased the lightsaber duel between the two characters.

A patch that belongs to the second unit responsible for the lighting shows two lightsabers clashing. The first one is clearly the Darksaber, judging by the hilt, and the other appears to belong to a Jedi because there aren’t any Sith left in the galaxy after the fall of the Empire. With Ahsoka being introduced in “The Mandalorian” Season 2, it is safe to assume that this new lightsaber belongs to her.

Esposito has already confirmed that he has filmed action sequences with the Darksaber. The battle scenes are not CGI, the actor has confirmed, and the intensity on the set apparently led to Esposito breaking some of the props that were used for the Darksaber.

Esposito jokingly revealed that the crewmembers were concerned about him breaking all those Darksaber props. The situation became so grim that some of the crewmembers would gently whisper to the actor and say before filming a scene that he had the last prop with him.

Apart from the lighsaber duel, the leaked picture also confirmed the return of The Child, who is referred to as Baby Yoda by the fans. The character quickly became a sensation among the fans, but in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, executive Producer Jon Favreau revealed that he didn’t want the character to look too cute.

“The Mandalorian” Season 2 will be released in October.
