Mandy Moore, who welcomed her baby boy named August with husband Taylor Goldsmith earlier this year, took to Instagram Thursday to talk about her breastfeeding journey.

"Breastfeeding is not always smooth sailing (clogged ducts, timing life around feedings, pumping for when I’m at work, etc… )," she wrote. "But nursing this baby boy for the past nearly 6 months has been a beautiful, messy and an oh so rewarding experience I will treasure forever."

The 37-year-old singer went on to add, "It goes without saying that #fedisbest and I'm grateful to my body and the tremendous support I've had around me (especially in the beginning days and weeks when I had no clue what I was doing) for allowing me this time to nourish my sweet guy."

Created in celebration of National Breastfeeding Week, the heartfelt post was accompanied by three photos featuring some of Moore's breastfeeding moments.

In the first photo, the "A Walk to Remember" star could be seen looking at the baby while breastfeeding him. Beside Moore was Goldsmith, who was gushing at the little bundle of joy. In the second one, fans could have a closer look at August while being breastfed. It seems the two snaps were taken a couple of months ago.

The third photo seemed to be a more recent one, in which the singer could be seen topless while breastfeeding her baby. Sporting her older look for "This Is Us," Moore covered her breasts with the baby as she looked at the camera.

Moore's post received love and support from celebs and fans in the comments section.

"Friends" star Jennifer Aniston liked the post, while popular plus-size model Tess Holliday simply dropped hearts in the comments section.

"The Young and the Restless" star Sofia Pernas also commented, "Yeah mama!!"

Actor Zachary Levi wrote, "That third pic thooo!!!"

One of the fans wrote, "It's the young body and old face Rebecca for me love this congrats on 6 months of BF!!"

In February, Moore posted the photo of her little one and noted that "he was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined. M + T."

On the work front, Moore has been a regular on the TV series "This Is Us" since 2016. Last year, she also dropped the music video for "Fifteen."
