Manny Pacquiao's camp is in turmoil after dissenting statements from Buboy Fernandez, and Freddie Roach sparked a heated dialogue about the champ's retirement plans.

In an exclusive interview from the Manila Bulletin, Roach narrated that he is "pissed off" with Fernandez after he said that he has no authority on Manny's decisions.

Fernandez issued the statements in a Q&A session with Filipino press a day after his split decision victory against Keith Thurman. Meanwhile, Roach spoke with the Bulletin on Thursday (GMT) after bawling on whether Manny should hang his gloves or not.

Roach said that he would be the first one to notice if he sees signs of him [Pacquiao] slowing down." He also had a special message to Fernandez on Manny's retirement. He said, "Buboy, I don't have the power to do that, but my suggestion to him would be honest."

Despite their dissenting statements, both of them agree that the WBA welterweight champ should steer away from Errol Spence and Terence Crawford. Roach described that both guys are "young, young, young killers," adding that both fighters are at least ten years younger than Pacquiao.

Errol Spence is currently the International Boxing Federation titleholder while Terrence Crawford is the WBO champion. In September, Pacman's former sparring partner, Shawn Porter will try to challenge Spence for the IBF belt.

The American trainer also noted that "it's unfair" to pair the 8 division champ with younger challengers since he will be 41 next year. However, he assured that a motivated and well-trained Pacquiao could "put them on their asses."

Earlier this year, Fernandez said that he wants three more fights before Pacquiao hangs his gloves. He also swore that he knows what's best for his long-time buddy.

After his win against Keith Thurman, Roach admitted that he was deeply concerned when Pacquiao couldn't see for a short time. Despite the scare, the Hall-of-Fame trainer was relieved when he saw Manny shadowboxing in the morning.

Recently there have been calls urging for Pacquiao to retire. The Filipino senator has already racked up 71 fights in his impressive 24-year career. He first started going pro in 1995, and he will be turning 41 on December 17.

Moments after he defeated Thurman, Pacquiao stated that he would be resting for the remainder of 2019. He also bared that he is looking to fight next year, possibly with the winner of the Spence versus Porter match in September.
