Tennis star Maria Sharapova and NBA player Sasha Vujacic have reportedly broken up.

The couple got engaged to be married in 2010, but their relationship appears to be over. The Slovenian basketball player has confirmed that the two split, according to Italian reporter Francesco Velluzzi.

Other than confirming the story, Vujacic would not comment any further on the matter.

Friends of the former couple say the two have been apart for over three months. They started dating in 2009 and got engaged exactly a year later.

Sharapova is currently playing in the 2012 U.S. Open. She's looking for her second career Open victory, and her fifth total Grand Slam title.

Vujacic played seven seasons in the NBA with the Lakers and Nets. He's best-known for icing Game Seven of the NBA Finals with two free throws in the contest's last seconds, to help Los Angeles beat the Boston Celtics. He last played in America in 2011, and is a member of the Anadolu Efes S.K., a Turkish basketball club.

Below are some pictures of Sharapova and Vujacic, who dated for approximately three years.
