Mariah Carey has revealed that the unconditional love from her children help her “heal” from all the traumas and heartbreaks in her life.

The Grammy-winning artist recently disclosed in an interview with talk show host Oprah Winfrey that she has a lot of "genuine, authentic moments" of love with her children. The “We Belong Together” singer shares 9-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with former husband Nick Cannon.

In a clip of the interview uploaded on YouTube, Carey said that the “unconditional love” between her and her kids is only matched by the love and support of her ardent fans.

“They help to heal me every day. Every time we have a moment that feels real and authentic and genuine and it is them loving unconditionally. My fans have been the only ones that I felt I got unconditional love from,” Carey said.

Later in the discussion, the “Touch My Body” hitmaker noted that the connection she shares with her fans can also be seen in the love that her kids have for her.

“I had this connection in a way that people feel like they know you. My fans really feel they are the only ones who have ever known me. I feel that way,” Today quoted Carey, as saying.

The acclaimed musician also shared that she is not worried about her kids trying to hurt her and admitted that she never witnessed “unconditional familial love” until they came to her life.

“Just by the fact that the children provide me with this actual love and they are my actual family and I am not worried about them trying to hurt me or do any of the things that happened to me when I was a kid. I’ve never had a reference for unconditional familial love until now,” Carey said.

Meanwhile, the singer is releasing a memoir called “The Meaning Of Mariah Carey.”

“This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs,” Carey wrote on social media while announcing the book.

The memoir will be released on Sept. 29. There will be an Audible version of the book and Carey is narrating it herself.
