Mark Wahlberg took to Instagram over the weekend to share a video of himself working out with the boyfriend of his 18-year-old daughter, Ella Rae.

In the nine-second video, the 50-year-old actor could be seen looking at the camera and walking toward his daughter's boyfriend while saying, "I used to work out to keep the boys away from my girls and now, I'm working out with the boyfriend." He then placed his hand on the young man's shoulder.

"Imagine that, self-made," he added as he walked away from the guy, whose name was not revealed in the clip.

"Ella is a lucky girl and I'm a lucky dad! He is a great young man," the actor captioned the video.

Celebrities and fans took to the comments section to share their reaction to the actor's sweet gesture.

"Saved by the Bell" star Mario Lopez commented, "Heyyy keep 'em close. Smart."

Wahlberg's wife Rhea Durham simply dropped laughing emojis in the comments section.

Actress Octavia Spencer commented with heart emojis, while Basketball coach Caron Butler wrote, "Let me know if you need some enforcement."

"Imagine having a girlfriend and her dad wakes you up for a 4 am workout," one of the fans commented.

Another fan wrote, "Recipe for a good Father."

Wahlberg and Durham got married in 2009. The couple shares four kids together — Ella Rae, 18, Michael, 15, Brendan, 13, and Grace Margaret, 11.

On the work front, the actor will be next seen in the action movie "Uncharted." Based on the video game series of the same title, the movie also stars Tom Holland, Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle, Antonio Banderas and Patricia Meeden. It is directed by Ruben Fleischer and slated for release on Feb. 18.

Wahlberg will also appear in the movie "Me Time," whose story revolves around a father who finds time for himself for the first time in many years and connects with his old friend to have a wild weekend. Expected to come out later this year, the flick is currently under post-production.

The actor will also be featured in movies like "Stu," "Arthur the King," "The Six Billion Dollar Man" and "Our Man from Jersey."
