Some viewers who watched FYI’s “Married at First Sight” premiere will find Jamie Otis awfully familiar. This isn’t the nurse’s first attempt at finding love on national television. She has previously been a contestant on “The Bachelor” and “Bachelor Pad.”

Otis starred in “The Bachelor” Season 16. She competed for Ben Flajnik’s affections, and viewers might remember when she had to share an awkward kiss with him.

“That was easily one of the most horrifying moments in the history of the show,” Chris Harrison, host of “The Bachelor,” told TV Guide. “It was sad, horrifying, funny — it's rare you feel every emotion possible, but you just didn't know what to do watching.”

Needless to say, it didn’t work out between the two. Otis was sent home in episode 6.

Otis next turned up in “The Bachelor’s” spinoff, “Bachelor Pad.” She appeared in the third season of the show where former “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” contestants competed for $250,000. Otis became involved with Chris Bukowski, who hooked up with numerous contestants at once without their knowledge. And she didn’t like the way she was portrayed on the show.

“The whole experience of 'Bachelor Pad' was conniving, manipulative and crazy. Just seeing it back, I mean I had no idea and it makes you look like a fool because when you’re an honest person and you believe that you’re seeing something from a person and then all of a sudden you see this whole different story that’s happening behind your back that you don’t know about,” she told Hollywood Life.

Even that experience didn’t keep Otis away from reality TV or even reality TV stars. She dated Ben Patton from “Ready For Love” in summer 2013, according to Life and Style. The Eva Longoria-produced series lasted one season, and only three episodes aired on television. The remaining episodes were available online.

Patton and Otis didn't meet through the show, but on social media. Patton friended Otis on Facebook, and the two started talking. It isn’t clear when the couple broke up, but Otis was apparently looking for a long-term relationship after their split.

Now Otis has married a stranger for FYI’s new reality show “Married At First Sight.” She met her scientifically determined perfect match and had four weeks to decide if they could make their marriage work. While audiences will have to watch the show to see if she found love, Otis tweeted that she has found happiness.

“Married At First Sight” airs on FYI on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EDT. Will you watch Otis attempt to find love on reality TV again?
