Doug Hehner has joined his wife on social media to express his grief. Jamie Otis revealed Wednesday that she suffered a miscarriage, just a week after revealing she was four months pregnant. The “Married At First Sight” star posted a message of his own Wednesday night.

“#BabyHehner even though you could only leave us with your footprints, you will forever remain in our hearts, and @jamienotis and I love you! Thank you everyone for your love and support,” he wrote alongside a photo of footprints, ultrasound stills and a baby blanket.

Otis shared her husband’s post Thursday morning and wrote a message to her unborn child. “Baby Hehner, daddy made this picture collage for you,” she wrote on Instagram. “It’s only been one day since we lost you, but our love for you has grown more than you’ll know. You’re our little Angel up in Heaven. We cannot wait to meet you and hold you again one day. We love you and miss you.”

Jamie, who recently published her memoir, “Wifey 101: Everything I Got Wrong After Finding Mr. Right,” revealed her miscarriage several hours after asking fans for prayers for her family. “Our Baby Hehner was just too beautiful for earth. I love him so much - ALWAYS will - and can't wait to meet him in heaven one day. Please pray for us,” she said.

Jamie and Doug met at the altar on FYI’s “Married at First Sight” in 2014. The couple is one of only two marriages that have worked our after cameras stopped rolling, and fans have been able to follow Jamie and Doug’s life together on “Married at First Sight: The First Year.” Throughout the second season, viewers saw Jamie try to convince Doug to have children. He wanted to strengthen their relationship first and complete a pre-baby bucket list. The season ended with Doug deciding that they were finally ready to have a baby.
