Matt Damon has reacted to the reports romantically linking Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez after their Montana trip together.

The 50-year-old Hollywood actor was put on the spot by “Today” co-hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb when he made a virtual guest appearance on the show Tuesday. Apparently, he was asked about the rumors claiming his 48-year-old best friend, Affleck, and Lopez, 51, have rekindled their romance.

“Your friend Ben Affleck and a little thing we call Bennifer, how do you like them apples,” Guthrie asked the “Great Wall” actor while borrowing a line that Affleck said in their movie “Good Will Hunting.”

Damon, who is currently staying in Australia and was seen doing the virtual interview from a local pub in the video, made a witty response to the question. “There's not enough liquor in the world for you to get me to say something about that,” he was quoted as saying by Entertainment Tonight during the interview.

However, the co-hosts still insisted on getting a reaction from Damon, with Kotb asking him how he found out that “Bennifer” was once again a thing since the reports about their reunion were only making the rounds in the U.S.

“I just heard you guys. That’s the first time I heard about it,” he said. But then Guthrie pressed him into sharing what he really thinks about the circulating reports.

“It’s a fascinating story. I love them both. I hope it’s true. That would be awesome,” he finally said of the issue.

In a separate interview on “Today With Hoda & Jenna” on the same day, he was asked by the co-hosts Kotb and Jenna Bush if he has spoken with Affleck recently.

“I talk to him every day, but we don’t talk about personal stuff, we just talk about the movie,” the actor said referring to his and his BFF’s upcoming flick, “The Last Duel.”

Meanwhile, a Latin music source exclusively told People Wednesday that Affleck and Lopez’s reunion and their Big Sky trip on Mother’s Day weekend happened at the right time in their lives, considering that both recently broke up with their previous partners Ana de Armas, 33, and Alex Rodriguez, 45, respectively.

“Ben and Jennifer were in the same mindset after their breakups. Whether they end up together or not it's good for both of them now. And not that surprising,” the source said.

Lopez and Affleck were together as a couple almost two decades ago, and they even got engaged in 2002. They were set to tie the knot in 2003 but decided to postpone it. They officially broke up in January 2004 but have remained good friends through the years.
