It has been over a year since NBC fired Matt Lauer after receiving a sexual harassment complaint from a female employee. Although the woman’s identity has not been shared, a new report is claiming she is looking for a tell-all book deal.

Since Lauer was terminated from the network for sexual misconduct, the anchor has been keeping a low profile and has not returned to television. However, his name may become a trending topic once again if further details about his inappropriate behavior were to be shared.

A source reportedly told Page Six the woman has been speaking to a variety of publishing houses about the possibility of releasing a tell-all book.

The news of the potentially scandalous book is “surprising” to insiders, who were under the impression, the female wanted to remain anonymous. Shortly after Lauer was fired from the “Today” show, the woman’s attorney, Ari Wilkenfeld revealed the client was “terrified” people would learn her identity.

Although Lauer was fired for his inappropriate behavior, a source claimed the journalist, who is married to Annette Roque, told NBC producer Andy Lack he was having an affair with the employee.

“This was not a fling; it was an affair. She went and complained and Matt was fired. He admitted it when Andy confronted him,” the insider said.

While Lauer is said to be focusing on his family, he is also rumored to be working on reaching a divorce settlement with Roque. The couple married in 1998 and share three kids together.
