More than a year after NBC fired Matt Lauer following a sexual harassment complaint, new photos suggest the former “Today” show anchor’s health may be deteriorating.

After Lauer was fired from the network on Nov. 29, 2017, rumors began to surface suggesting he and wife Annette Roque were heading for a divorce. However, after he was photographed at an airport, a report claims the journalist has experienced a drastic weight loss amid his scandal.

RadarOnline published a story claiming Lauer appeared unrecognized during a trip to Florida. “He was wearing a sweater in the Florida heat, looked very thin and definitely didn’t look like himself. Super gaunt,” a mysterious tipster told the site.

Lauer reportedly did his best to blend in with other arriving passengers and carried his own belongings through the airport. “He kept to himself and surprisingly no one noticed him. It looked like he didn’t want to be noticed wearing glasses and a baseball hat,” the alleged eyewitness revealed.

While it is unclear why the journalist made the trip, the 61-year-old reportedly has deep ties to Florida. “His father passed away in Hospice Care-Matt did an annual charity golf event to benefit Hospice. Trustbridge, which operates Hospice of Palm Beach County, pulled its commercials with Matt after the sex scandal exploded,” a supposed source said.

Neither Lauer nor Roque has commented on the state of their marriage. Furthermore, the former anchor has not acknowledged rumors regarding changes to his body.
