Mayim Bialik has finally revealed why she and Neil Patrick Harris are no longer friends, and according to the "Big Bang Theory" star, it has a lot to do with her lack of interest in musicals.

The 45-year-old actress confessed that in 1997, she watched "Rent," in which Harris played Mark Cohen's character. When the audience gave the actor a standing ovation for his performance, Bialik remained seated.

"I mean, this was a long time ago," she began to explain on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" Tuesday. "But when your friend is in the play and then everybody is clapping at the end, and you say to your boyfriend next to you, 'I don't want to stand for this'"

"And then you look up and Neil Patrick Harris is looking right at you — it's a bad day," she added.

The actress clarified that Harris did a "fantastic" job at the show, but she "just wasn't into the [idea of], 'Let's give a standing ovation.'"

"It wasn't my thing," she said further.

Bialik went on to share how things became worse between them when she met the "How I Met Your Mother" star backstage.

Apparently, Harris read her lips when she refused to give him a standing ovation. When she said hi to him after the show, the actor straightway asked her, "Why did you say you weren't going to stand up?"

"He read my lips," Bialik noted. "I did not have a good answer. It was terrible. It was bad."

However, the actress disclosed that after not speaking with each other for a long time, Harris forgave her and even sent her flowers after learning that she still felt guilty because of what happened on that day.

"I felt terrible," she said. "It just wasn't my thing."

The late-night show's official handle shared a clip from the interview on Twitter Wednesday but took it down from its YouTube channel.

Fans took to the comments section to share their reaction to Bialik's shocking revelation.

A netizen expressed solidarity with the actress, writing, "I am Mayim. Musicals make me cringe. The only exception is Moulin Rouge it's just works in this movie. Plus songs covers are amazing. But other than that - bleh. I tried to watch Mamma Mia once-traumatized for life."

Meanwhile, another Twitter user called out Bialik, telling her that she should have at least supported her friend at that time. "Ummm ok but why wouldnt you stand for @ActuallyNPH my NM hero! Disrepectful. At least support a friend," they wrote.

Bialik was seen in the TV series "Call Me Kat," which came out on Jan. 3. As for Harris, he will be next seen in the movie "8 Bit Christmas," which is slated for release on Nov. 25.
