McDonald’s (MCD) is showing its appreciation for teachers, administrators, and school staff by offering them a week of free breakfasts.

The fast-food chain will give these educators a free Thank You Meal, starting on Monday through Oct. 15, to say thank you for the support of their community and to help make their “school day mornings a little brighter.”

McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger said in a statement, “We were honored to give away 12 million free Thank You Meals to first responders and healthcare workers last year and now, with educators going above and beyond, we're excited to recognize them in a way only McDonald's can.”

To get free breakfast from McDonald’s, educators can visit their local restaurant during breakfast hours and show a valid work ID. There is a limit of one meal per person.

The Thank You Meals will be served in a traditional Happy Meal box that will feature a breakfast sandwich, hash browns, and beverage of either a medium hot or iced coffee or medium soft drink. Breakfast sandwich choices include an Egg McMuffin, Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit, or Sausage Biscuit.

Beyond the Thank You Meals for educators, local McDonald’s owners and operators will be surprising teachers across the U.S. with breakfast delivered to their schools to show their appreciation locally.

McDonald’s is also encouraging everyone to honor a special educator who has made a difference in their life by sharing how they inspired them by using the hashtag #ThankYouMeal on Twitter, TikTok, or Instagram now through Oct. 15.

As of Friday at 10:12 a.m., shares of McDonald's were trading at $249.09, up 77 cents, or 0.31%.
