Freeform’s “Motherland: Fort Salem” is all about fierce women. The series takes place in a world where the Salem witch trials ended with a deal for real witches to fight in the U.S. military. The drama shows three young witches heading into basic training as they prepare to learn combat magic and supernatural war tactics. Fans might recognize some of the stars of the new drama.

Jessica Sutton plays Tally Craven, a California witch who was raised in a women-only community. Due to the deaths of other witches in her family, she didn’t have to enlist. She’s at Fort Salem by choice.

Fans might know the Cape Town, South Africa native from her role in “The Kissing Booth.” She has also starred in “Inside Man: Most Wanted” and “Escape Room.”

Taylor Hickson portrays Raelle Collar, a soldier grieving the death of her mother as she heads into basic training. Her mother was a medic, and Raelle is rebellious.

Sci-fi fans may recognize Hickson from Syfy’s “Deadly Class” and “Aftermath.” She has also appeared in films such as “Deadpool” and “Everything, Everything.”

Ashley Nicole Williams stars as Abigail Bellweather, a wealthy witch from a famous line of soldiers. There are expectations for her to be one of the best, and she intends to fulfill her destiny.

Williams is just getting her start in Hollywood. She has starred in two feature films, one of which was “Whisper,” opposite Maia Mitchell (Freeform’s “Good Trouble”).

Amalia Holm plays Scylla, a recruit who works with the dead and immediately has a connection with Raelle.

The Swedish actress has starred in Luc Besson’s “Playground” series as well as movies such as “Alena” and “Intercourse.”

Demetria McKinney stars as Anacostia, a drill sergeant who just wants to keep these new recruits alive.

McKinney has starred plenty of projects, such as “House of Payne,” “A House Divided,” “Sinners & Saints” and “Superstition.”

Lyne Renee portrays General Sara Alder, the highest-ranking officer and leader of Fort Salem.

The Belgian actress has been seen in many films, including “Split,” “The Gentlemen” and “The Meyerowitz Stories,” as well as several TV shows, like “Deep State,” “Mercy Street” and “Madoff.”

“Motherland: Fort Salem” premieres Wednesday on Freeform.
