The Mega Millions jackpot will continue to grow following the Friday drawing which did not produce any winners for the $405 million prize. However, there was one instant millionaire from the night who took home $1 million for matching five numbers in the drawing.

The winning Mega Millions numbers drawn on Friday, Sept. 17 were 17, 32, 40, 59, 61, with gold Mega Ball of 18. The Megaplier was 3X Megaplier.

The unclaimed jackpot on Friday was worth a total of $405 million with a cash option of $293.2 million. The next Mega Millions drawing, which is worth an estimated $432 million with a cash value of $312.8 million, will be drawn on Sept. 21 at 11 p.m. ET.

On Friday, a player from New Jersey won the Match 5 with a $1 million prize. However, the individual did not play with the 3X Megaplier and missed out on the chance to win $3 million.

Aside from the one instant millionaire, there were plenty of other smaller monetary prizes that resulted from the night. There were 18 players who hit the Match 4 plus gold Mega Ball that won $10,000.

Meanwhile, only one player matched four numbers plus the gold Mega Ball with the 3X Megaplier, winning $30,000. The rest of the prizes from the night ranged between $2 and $1,500.

Mega Millions players can receive their jackpot winnings through either a one-time lump sum payment or an annuity.

Those who select the annuity receive one immediate payment, followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

Mega Millions can be played in 45 states as well as the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
