Meghan Markle has always wanted to be a princess and made a “devious” plan to meet her now-husband Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex is not on speaking terms with her family on her father’s side. Just recently, her estranged brother Thomas Markle Jr. graced another interview where he was asked what Markle was like growing up and if she showed interest in the British royal family as a child.

“Watching her grow up I don't think it was the British Royal Family, it was the princess thing - Cinderella and all that kind of stuff, Beauty and the Beast and all those Disney movies that revolve around being a Princess and a Prince and being swept off your feet,” Markle Jr. told Express.

When Markle was in her teenage years, she was photographed outside Buckingham Palace during a school trip in London. When Markle’s sibling was asked about the snap, he said that it was probably the time she set her sights on the royals.

“That when she probably set her sights on what she wanted. I mean seeing the palace and Windsor and all that it would just be incredible,” Markle Jr. said.

When further probed about his opinion if the outing triggered something in Markle, he teased the interviewer by saying that his sister “came up with the devious plan to become an actress and run into Harry in Toronto.”

He also gave an affirmative response when asked if Markle wanted to be a princess and he said that that it’s part of any little girl’s dream to become one. He also alleged that Markle decided Prince Harry was her prince charming when the royal was introduced to her by a friend.

“I think that was it right there - the highest possible place she could ever get in her life... that was it. That was something she was not going to let slip between her fingers and get away,” he added.

In the same interview, Markle’s brother said that their father no longer cares if she returns into his life or not. However, he pleaded for the duchess to reach out to their father because they owe it to him.
