Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s rivalry has upset the palace.

This weekend, Prince Harry and Markle celebrated their first wedding anniversary. The event happened days before the Duchess of Cambridge’s big moment at Chelsea Flower Show.

According to Richard Palmer, a royal correspondent, the senior figures in the royal household are calling for better coordination within the Firm as the rivalry from the two families is already attracting public attention.

Just recently, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released stunning collections of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes photographs from their royal wedding last year to celebrate their first anniversary. However, prior to that, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also released several photos of them and their children having a good time at Middleton’s new garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.

“It was a case of anything you can do, we can do better,” one seasoned royal watcher said about what she observed between the Cambridges and the Sussexes.

According to the aides, there was little they could do about Prince Harry and Markle’s wedding anniversary clashing with Middleton’s flower show. However, courtiers revealed that there had been times when the couples overshadowed the other’s work.

Also, they reportedly hold regular planning meetings, but there will always be diary clashes. In addition, in the past weeks, there were days when “the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing.”

Palmer pointed out the time when Prince William was launching a campaign to use football to persuade men to speak about their emotions. Then suddenly, one of Markle’s friends gave interviews to a U.S. documentary about how they felt she had been treated unfairly in Britain.

On another day, Prince William and Middleton launched Britain’s first round-the-clock national messaging helpline people in emotional crisis. Prince Harry and Markle supported the project, but then suddenly, Prince Harry was in The Hague, taking the publicity away from the launch.

On Monday, Middleton’s garden will be unveiled at the Chelsea Flower Show. It remains unknown if Prince Harry and Markle will be there. However, previous reports said that Queen Elizabeth II will be there to support Prince William’s wife and she will be accompanied by other members of the royal family.
