Meghan Markle reportedly needs former First Lady Michelle Obama in her corner.

Angela Mollard, a royal host, told the Daily Telegraph said that after reading Obama’s memoir “Becoming,” she realized that Queen Elizabeth II has to consider doing one thing: hire Obama as Markle’s mentor.

The royal expert said that Obama and Markle have a lot of things in common, starting off with their African-American heritage. Both women are also very smart, worldly, articulate, and bold.

As a former first lady, Obama seemingly assumed the role of a Duchess as her British counterpart. Her experiences at the White House will also come in handy to guide the Duchess of Sussex in Windsor.

“Royalists say it’s Markle who has to adapt, that her loss of not one, but three key staff members – notably her police protection officer – is indicative of her difficult nature and unwillingness to conform. But if anyone can parlay tradition into a springboard for change, it’s Obama, the woman who memorably put an arm around the Queen at their first meeting,” Mollard wrote.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Markle and Obama were linked to each other. In November, Daily Mail journalists Zoe Griffin and Katie Hind said that the Duchess of Sussex will have the opportunity to thank Barack Obama’s wife for introducing her to Prince Harry.

Last year, the former first lady was scheduled to give a talk to fans in London while promoting her new book. George and Amal Clooney, who are good friends of Markle and Prince Harry, hosted the gathering.

The journalists said that Markle has been dying to meet the Obamas for years. She and Prince Harry were unable to invite the couple to their wedding because doing so would mean they would also have to invite President Donald Trump. However, it is unclear if Markle finally had the chance to talk to the Obamas at that time.

“She was instrumental in introducing Harry and Meghan and feels a responsibility to see how they are getting on, as well as celebrate the news they are about to become parents,” the sources said.
