Meghan Markle “offended” and “humiliated” Prince Harry.

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the other members of the royal family at Trooping the Colour, royal fans immediately noticed the changes in Markle’s engagement ring. It originally came with a gold band, but when she made her first public appearance after giving birth to Archie, the engagement ring was seen with more diamonds.

The netizens have different opinions about the redesigned band. According to New Idea, the former “Suits” star actually hated the ring and Prince Harry wasn’t happy when she told him that she wanted to modify its design.

“There’s no denying that Harry was offended when Meghan told him she was planning to update the ring,” an insider said.

“He put so much thought and effort into the design and didn’t understand why she wanted to change it.”

The report added that after the ring was modified it was almost identical to the one Markle’s ex-husband Trever Engelson gave to her.

“It’s not sitting well with Harry since he found out about the similarities afterward. He feels humiliated and can’t get his head around why she’d want any reminders of Trevor. Harry’s trying to bite his tongue, but who knows how much longer he’ll be able to keep it up,” the source continued.

E! News host Justin Sylvester criticized Markle’s move. According to him, she messed it up and changed part of history.

Sylvester pointed out that it was the ring that Prince Harry gave to the first bi-racial member of the British royal family, so it was “significant.” Hence, it was just “terrible” that she upgraded it.

Kate Middleton’s engagement ring was the same band Prince Charles used when he proposed to Princess Diana. The Duchess of Cambridge didn’t modify its design, but she also redesigned a pair of the late Princess of Wales’ earrings.

However, unlike Markle who added diamonds to her bling, Middleton opted to remove the diamonds from the stunning sapphire earrings and opted to wear them like delicate teardrop earrings.

Prince Harry and Markle’s son Archie will be christened this weekend. The couple faced another round of backlash from the public for keeping details about the event private. Many called them to stop taking money from the taxpayers if they wanted to be private individuals.
