KEY POINTS

  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to return to the United Kingdom for their last royal engagement
  • The Duchess of Sussex is expected to display a 'brave face' in the upcoming Endeavour Fund awards night
  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are said to be using Archie for their revenge against Queen Elizabeth

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been staying away from the limelight for quite some time now. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced, early this year, that they are stepping down as senior royals to live a more private life in Vancouver Island in Canada. Originally, the parents of Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor wanted to “continue to represent and support” Queen Elizabeth but they were given no option but to step away from the royal life for good.

Recently, Woman’s Day Australia reported that Meghan and Harry were “humiliated and furious” after Queen Elizabeth banned them from using their titles in the future. This, according to the entertainment news publication, would, significantly, affect the Sussex couple’s plans for financial independence. Because of this, the former “Suits” actress is said to be planning not to grant Her Majesty’s request to come home with Archie.

“Meghan is aware of the public opinion toward her and wants it to look like she’s toeing the line by agreeing to go to these royal events. But she hasn’t said anything about bringing Archie, even though he’s who everyone – especially the Queen and Prince Charles -- really wants to see. She has no issue keeping him away until they bend to her wishes. A baby bargaining chip, if you will,” a source told the media outlet. “It’s a pretty clear sign that Harry and Meghan won’t be back, despite their half-hearted promises to split their time between the two countries,” it went on.

Meanwhile, Katie Nicholl told OK! Magazine that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s return to the United Kingdom this week will be “bittersweet.” The royal expert claimed that the mom-of-one will “feel sadness” about how her life as a member of the royal family turned out and added Meghan will put on a “brave face” for her final engagement as Duchess of Sussex.

Katie even stated that Meghan will surely not give any hint that she is feeling uneasy in the upcoming royal events. To recall, the Buckingham Palace, previously, confirmed that Meghan and Prince Harry are set to grace the Endeavour Fund awards, which former Invictus Games medalist JJ Chalmers will be hosting. The four prizes to be conferred are The Community Impact Award, The Henry Worsley Award, The Celebrating Excellence Award, and The Recognizing Achievement Award.

Both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to comment on the rumors surrounding their relationship with Queen Elizabeth and other members of the royal family. So, avid followers of the couple should take these speculations with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
