Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue to face criticisms two months after they announced their decision to ditch the royal life for good. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared, through their official Instagram account, that they wanted to become financially independent and live a more private life while raising their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor.

Recently, Who Magazine shared numerous people were not pleased by how Meghan and Prince Harry responded to Queen Elizabeth’s decision to not allow them from using their “royal” titles. “There is not any jurisdiction by The Monarchy or Cabinet Office over the use of the word ‘Royal’ overseas,” the Sussex couple wrote on their official website. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use ‘Sussex Royal’ or any iteration of the word ‘Royal’ in any territory (either within the UK or otherwise) when the transition occurs Spring 2020,” they continued.

English broadcaster Piers Morgan could not help but react to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s statement, which he described as a "staggering disrespect" to Queen Elizabeth. “Who the hell do they think they are?” Piers went on. Royal expert Fitzwilliams also gave his thoughts about it. “They’re basically saying the royals can’t stop them using it, but they won’t be using it,” he said.

Tom Bower, Prince Charles’ biographer, raised concerns about Meghan Markle and how she answers back to Queen Elizabeth. “The public is finally seeing Meghan’s true nature and motives. Her comments about the Queen’s decision smacks of spiteful fury,” he said. “I fear it’ll get worse,” Tom added.

For starters, Meghan and Prince Harry, per reports, will retain their “HRH” titles but they will not use them actively. Archie’s parents will continue to be recognized as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Baron and Baroness Kilkeel, and Earl and Countess of Dumbarton. The couple has yet to comment on these reports.

Meanwhile, The Sunday Times reported that Meghan and Prince Harry will not be bringing Archie along on their upcoming trip to the United Kingdom. The media outlet even revealed that the 9-month-old royal baby has not returned to the U.K. since the family of three left Britain in late 2019. To recall, the Sussex couple, previously, shared that taking care of their only son is their top priority at the moment.

"It's very much still about taking care of him and putting the family first. He’s a happy kid—he loves to laugh,” a royal insider told People. “Archie and Harry have such a good time together. And Meghan is a great mom. She's very much about tending to him. They are trying to live their life as regular parents," it continued.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to attend the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey on March 9. It remains to be seen if they will get reunited with Queen Elizabeth, Prince William, Kate Middleton and the other members of the royal family.
