Meghan Markle is reportedly furious at her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., for dragging her mom, Doria Ragland, in their ongoing feud.

During Thomas’s recent interview, he revealed that he wrote to his ex-wife in an attempt to reconnect with Markle. Unfortunately, Ragland did not respond to him.

Now, a source told The Sun that the Duchess of Sussex is upset over her dad’s desperate move.

“Thomas’s attempt to bring Doria into the whole thing is a desperate move. She is a completely innocent party in the whole thing. If Meghan decides to speak to her dad again, it will be her own decision. They don’t want Doria dragged into any of this and to become a pawn for Thomas to use. Doria doesn’t do conflict,” the source said.

The source went on to say that Prince Harry and Markle had no idea that Thomas wrote letters to Ragland in an attempt to reach out to the Duchess of Sussex. But the idea that Thomas tried to impose what Doria should or shouldn’t do didn’t sit well with the royal couple.

“And the idea the Royal Family ever treated Doria with anything other than the utmost respect is cruel and unfair. Harry and Meghan’s wedding day was then the happiest day of Doria’s life and she has always been made welcome by the Queen and the entire Royal family,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Thomas has made it clear that he only wants to talk to his daughter. The former lighting director was frozen out of Markle’s life before she and Prince Harry tied the knot.

Days before the royal wedding, Thomas posed for a series of fake photographs to make it seem as though he’s preparing for his daughter’s big day. After his bold move was busted, Thomas suffered from a heart attack that prevented him from attending Markle’s big day.

The last time that Markle reached out to her estranged father was last year via a handwritten letter.
