Meghan Markle might have dropped a major clue that she’s not returning to the U.K.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have returned from their long vacation on Monday. They immediately embarked on their first royal engagement on Tuesday by visiting Canadian High Commissioner Janice Charette to thank her for the warm welcome they received in Canada.

On Wednesday, the Sussexes rocked the palace and the world when they announced that they are stepping back from their royal roles. Shortly after the announcement, Markle flew back to Canada leaving Prince Harry in the U.K.

According to Daily Mail, the duchess left a huge sign that she’s not returning to the U.K. The publication was referring to Markle’s pet pooches that joined the royal couple in their getaway to Canada but had not returned to London along with them on Jan. 6.

Markle’s rescue beagle Guy, who she adopted prior to dating Prince Harry and a black Labrador puppy both arrived in Vancouver in November. A source told the publication that it was “the biggest clue, in hindsight, that they were unlikely to come back from this so-called holiday.”

“Both the Duke and Duchess adore their dogs and Guy has already been relocated from Canada to London once when Meghan moved over,” the source explained.

“She wouldn't have considered a move again for him if it wasn't going to be at least semi-permanent.”

It also turned out that Prince Harry and Markle left their son Archie in the country. Thus, the need for the duchess to immediately fly back to Canada. Makle reportedly doesn’t have a return ticket to London and Prince Harry is expected to join her and Archie in Canada soon.

Queen Elizabeth II was reportedly furious and disappointed at the royal couple. The Sussexes reportedly didn’t consult any senior member of the royal family about their plans. They just learned about it when it was reported on TV.

On Friday, the Queen was spotted for the first time following Prince Harry and Markle’s shocking announcement. Her Majesty looked furious as she drove her Land Rover around Sandringham.
