Meghan Markle doesn’t need Prince Harry as much as the Duke of Sussex needs his wife, claims a royal biographer.

While speaking on Yahoo’s “The Royal Box,” Andrew Morton claimed that the Duchess of Sussex is a source of stability and structure for her husband, who has desperately wanted to have a family of his own.

“I was looking at some pictures of Harry when he was about 8 years old and he’s cradling a friend’s baby. He was always adoring of children and you can see that today… He’s gone from being a little boy who liked kids to being an adult who was desperate for a family,” he said.

Morton said that this has always been the way that Prince Harry has needed Markle because the latter was the one that gave him a family. The royal biographer also said that the “Suits” alum’s innate qualities will most likely allow her to win the hearts and minds of those who are still undecided about her. After all, Markle has her husband so much happiness.

Meanwhile, another royal expert talked about Markle and said that the former actress holds a great deal of influence to the royal family and Prince Harry. Anna Whitelock said that it is Markle that holds all the cards because she’s in a more powerful position than she has ever been.

“She’s married to Harry and clearly dotes on her and adores her. She clearly has a great deal of influence over him… She’s now the media darling and now she has a baby,” Whitelock said.

Markle gave birth to her son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, on May 6. Two days later, she and Prince Harry introduced their little bundle of joy to the entire world. Prince Harry has returned to his royal duties after his son’s birth, but Markle will be on maternity leave until October.

The next time that royal fans will get to catch a glimpse of Archie is during his christening.
