Meghan Markle spent more than Kate Middleton for her shoes in 2019.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex are among the most fashionable and most photographed women today. Express listed the different footwear the royals wore in the year and one of them spent more than the other.

Markle’s 2019 shoe collection includes Gianvito Rossi Cow-Print Heels, Aquazzura Rendez Vous Suede and Metallic Leather Mules, Sarah Flint Suede Knee-High Boots, Black Aquazzura Deneuve Pump, Aquazzura Deneuve Bow Pointy Toe Flats, Portrait of Lady Slingback Pumps and Tamara Mellon x FRAME boots. All of Markle’s footwear cost $5,569.

Meanwhile, Middleton has her own shoe collection, too. The Duchess of Cambridge’s footwear includes Jimmy Choo Romy Glitter Pumps, Oscar De La Renta Cabrina Pumps, Ralph Lauren Boots, Aldo Nicholes Block Heel, Tod’s Fringed Leather Pumps, Emmy London Rebecca Greenery Court Shoe, Jimmy Choo's Mimi Metallic Sandals and Castañer's Espadrilles Wedge. Middleton’s collection cost $3,436.

Between the two, Markle spent $1,500 more on her footwear than the future queen. Prince Harry’s wife also alloted more budget for her wardrobe than her sister-in-law. In 2018, Middleton spent $500,000 for her new outfits. The amount was six times more than Middletons who only spent $87,000 for her clothing expenses in the same year.

Middleton has been spotted wearing a pair of wedge shoes several times this year. According to Vanity Fair, the Queen is not a fan of the footwear. In fact, the monarch doesn’t like them and is known for being a “notorious wedge-hater.”

The Duchess of Sussex did the same. Markle also wore a pair of Carina wedge espadrilles when she visited Cape Town. She was even photographed dancing with the ladies in South Africa.

In related news, Middleton’s secret to wearing heels all day has been revealed. The Duchess of Cambridge uses Alice Bow’s leather insoles. The product offers comfort to help women enjoy their footwear. Alice Bow insoles are the solution to “ugly and ineffective footwear.”
