  • Carole Middleton's secret to maintaining a good figure was revealed by her brother
  • Carole Middleton is a fun grandmother
  • Carole Middleton was also a hands-on mom to Kate and Pippa

Carole Middleton has one particular diet she follows in order to stay slim like daughters Kate and Pippa Middleton.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s mom is as slim and beautiful as her two daughters. The 64-year-old was even spotted showing off her toned figure in a bikini alongside Pippa during their holiday on the Caribbean island of St. Barts. To maintain her figure, Carole has always watched what she eats and remains active on a daily basis.

Carole’s brother, Gary Goldsmith, shared her secrets when it comes to staying fit. He revealed that Carole’s slim figure was down to her discipline in eating and maintaining an active lifestyle.

“Carole has always looked after herself and eaten healthy, and she has a stunning figure. That mentality of considering your diet and exercise is evident in the girls also,” Goldsmith told Daily Mail, referring to his nieces Kate and Pippa.

“A few years back someone asked me why I was super-sized when my family are so slim. ‘Charming,’ I thought, but it did strike a chord. The family they were referring to was obviously my sister, Carole Middleton, and my nieces Kate and Pippa,” Goldsmith added.

Carole’s influence on her children goes beyond keeping them healthy like herself. Middleton’s mom was also a very hands-on parent when they were growing up.

Carole enrolled in a training program with British Airwayas. She was slim, pretty and elegant in her tailored blue jacket and skirt, red cravat and smart pillbox hat. She had always loved to travel. However, she ended her career to be a full-time mom when she and her husband, Michael Middleton, was about to welcome their first child, Kate.

In her book “Kate: The Future Queen,” Katie Nicholl wrote that Carole loved her career, but she knew that “globe-trotting, working shifts, and spending days and nights abroad were not conducive to raising a family.” Thus, with sadness in her heart, she gave up the career she dreamed of.

Carole is also a hands-on and fun grandparent. She looks after Prince William and Middleton’s kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis when the royal couple is away.

However, she also loves to goof around and have fun. Carole was caught on camera playing an inflatable lightsaber, and the adorable clip was shared on her family business Party Pieces account on Instagram.
