Meghan Markle may have offended Princess Eugenie on her wedding day in October, but it wasn’t the Duchess of Sussex’s pregnancy news that angered the Princess. In fact, it was Meghan’s absence at the reception that had the Eugenie feeling down.

Prince Harry stopped by for a drink at Windsor’s Royal Lodge, but Meghan did not tag along. A source close to Eugenie told The Telegraph (via Harper’s Bazaar) that Eugenie was “upset” that they weren’t around to spend the whole night celebrating.

Work kept the newlyweds from dancing the night away with Harry’s cousin and her new husband. Apparently, the two needed time to get ready for their tour of Australia, which started just two days after the wedding.

This is contrary to some reports that came out after Meghan’s pregnancy was revealed just days following the wedding. Rumors swirled that Meghan and Harry were telling their friends and family about the royal baby during Eugenie’s big day. However, it seems that their absence was the real trouble.
