Meghan Markle wouldn’t mind some help after her baby is born. The Duchess of Sussex reportedly hopes mother Doria Ragland will move to England.

“Meghan of course wants her mom to move to the U.K.,” a source told Us Weekly.

The Duchess of Sussex, who announced her pregnancy in October, is originally from California, and her mother still resides there. The social worker is planning to spend plenty of time with her grandchild, though. She expects to be across the pond quite a bit after Meghan gives birth in the spring, but she hasn’t confirmed plans to officially move overseas.

“Doria hasn’t made any commitments about doing so,” the source claimed. “She has told friends that she would keep her house in Los Angeles but is indeed planning on spending a majority of her time with Meghan.”

The Daily Mail, meanwhile, states that Meghan wants Doria to “become a regular ‘live-in’ nanny.”

Meghan and Prince Harry should have plenty of room to host Doria, whether for short or extended visits. They confirmed plans to leave Nottingham Cottage, their two-bedroom Kensington Palace residence, and move to Frogmore Cottage at Windsor in early 2019.

“Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate,” a statement noted. “The Duke and Duchess’s official office will continue to be based at Kensington Palace.”

The 10-bedroom cottage is undergoing renovations as it is currently divided into five staff living units. The update will include a gym, yoga studio and nursery, according to The Sun. Could a room for Meghan’s mother also be in the plans?

In any case, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to celebrate Christmas with Doria. Express reports that Queen Elizabeth II invited Doria to enjoy the holidays with the royal family at Sandringham.
