Meghan Markle has a new gold ring.

On Tuesday, the Duchess of Sussex stepped out for a solo visit to Brinsworth House, a residential nursing and care home for British entertainers run by the Royal Variety. On the said outing, Markle wore her three-stone engagement ring from Prince Harry. However, many also noticed a new gold band on her right hand.

According to People, the jewelry piece features an outline of a hand containing an eye with a blue sapphire. The accessory is reportedly called a “hamsa” — a symbol that brings the wearer good fortune, happiness and health.

In the Jewish and Islamic culture, a hamsa depicts an open right palm and is thought to ward off the “evil eye.” This is an ancient belief centered on a “curse” cast upon by someone who wishes unsuspecting person harm.

Meanwhile, Markle is rumored to be having a rift with her sister-in-law Kate Middleton. The two duchesses’ ghastly row reportedly began last Christmas after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge invited them to celebrate the holidays at their house as requested by Prince Charles.

Despite the rumored rift, Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle are still expected to spend Christmas together with Queen Elizabeth II in Sandringham. According to royal correspondent Rebecca English, all of the members of the Firm will reunite for the royal festivities.

Also, the fab four just reunited in a Christmas lunch hosted by Her Majesty. On Wednesday, Queen Elizabeth II opened the doors of Buckingham Palace for the royals for her annual pre-Christmas lunch. The event serves as the family’s reunion, so the Queen can catch up with all of her relatives before spending the holidays in Norfolk.

Prince William and Middleton arrived with their kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Prince Harry and Markle also arrived in the same vehicle.

Aside from Markle’s alleged rift with Middleton, her family also kept on attacking her regarding her relationship with her father. The duchess has stopped talking to her dad after he missed her royal wedding to Prince Harry.

Queen Elizabeth II reportedly invited Markle’s mom Doria Ragland to spend the holidays with them because the former actress has no other family member in London. Unfortunately, the yoga instructor politely declined the invitation, so she won’t be with Markle this Christmas. Ragland was spotted running errands in Los Angeles after rejecting the Queen’s Christmas invitation.
