Meghan Markle will not follow Kate Middleton's pregnancy style.

A number believe that the Duchess of Sussex will take cues from the Duchess of Cambridge when it comes to maternity fashion. Middleton has always looked chic and fashionable even if she's pregnant. However, according to a fashion blogger, Markle will have her own style.

"Meghan and Kate have very different tastes in fashion," Christine Ross told Express. "Meghan’s maternity style will really stay true to the elegant, clean lines and simple cuts that she has always preferred, but allowing extra room through tailoring as her body changes."

"By contrast, Kate seemed to quickly embrace the empire and maternity waistlines, which are very flattering and accentuate a growing bump," she added.

Ross added that both duchesses embrace strong tailoring. However, "Meghan loves a modern, urban style whereas Kate loves her country look."

Ross said that Middleton and Markle "couldn't be more different, so it is very difficult to compare." She added that Markle is confident in her style and fashion choices so "it seems doubtful that she would compare herself too much to her sister-in-law."

Aside from the royals' different choices in outfits, they have different tastes when it comes to jewelry, too. Middleton has been seen wearing different pieces from the Queen's collection. However, Markle hasn't worn any except for the tiara she wore on her wedding day.

According to experts, this is because Middleton prefers the classic look and the "royal traditional styling." On the other hand, the expectant mom is into simple but stylish accessories.

"I would say Meghan keeps her jewellery quite simple but stylish and contemporary with a classic twist," said Lauren Teff, a London-based stylist. "She always supports smaller designers that make an ethical impact."

"For Kate's style she keeps it simple but tends to go a bit more classic with her jewellery, think diamond earrings and pearl necklaces," Teff added.

Just recently, the Duchess of Cambridge borrowed another item from the Queen's vault. Middletons stepped out with Prince William for the Tusk Conservation Awards 2018 on Thursday. The royal mom of three wore the diamond chandelier earrings from the monarch's collection and paired it with a recycled Jenny Packham gown.
