Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle both love jewelry, but they have different tastes when it comes to choosing their accessories.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex are often seen wearing beautiful and expensive bling. Markle usually prefers recognizable brands like Birks. In fact, she was seen wearing the Birks Snowflake Snowstorm earrings, which retails at $9,143.

"I would say Meghan keeps her jewellery quite simple but stylish and contemporary with a classic twist," Lauren Teff, a London-based stylist, shared her professional opinion to Express. "She always supports smaller designers that make an ethical impact."

On the other hand, Middleton prefers the classic brands like Cartier. She also often borrows the Queen's pieces for various events as she has access to the monarch's vault. "For Kate's style she keeps it simple but tends to go a bit more classic with her jewellery, think diamond earrings and pearl necklaces," Teff continued.

Charlotte Balbier of All the Pretty also added that Middleton is into "royal traditional styling." "With statement pieces often borrowed from the Royal collection, Kate loves to wear sets that match as well as adding in coloured stones that make a statement," she explained.

On the other hand, Balbier noticed that Markle is more into small and delicate pieces. "Meghan is almost the complete opposite opting for fine pieces often delicate and small, almost smaller the better," Balbier added. "Petite bangles and small earrings are Meghan’s signature look. Less is more for this new mum-to-be."

In related news, Prince William and Middleton reportedly snubbed an invitation from Prince Charles to spend quality time together at the Castle of Mey. It remains unknown why the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge declined.

On the other hand, Prince Harry and Markle said "yes" to the Prince of Wales' invitation. The future king was reportedly "joyous" and "tickled pink" when he learned that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be joining him in Scotland.

Prince Harry and Markle have just returned from their 16-day Commonwealth trip. The couple visited Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga. On the other hand, Prince Charles and Camila are already on the second leg of their West Africa tour where they will visit Ghana, Gambia and Nigeria.
