Meghan Markle is reportedly protective of her baby and would like to keep him or her away from her toxic dad, Thomas Markle Sr.

Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter told Daily Star that Markle and Prince Harry would receive plenty of help from their friends and loved ones after the baby is born. However, the “Suits” alum would continue to shut down her dad amid their alleged family feud.

Arbiter also said that Thomas had not been behaving like a regular father due to all of the things he had done even before his daughter’s royal wedding.

“There is a lot of talk and commentary about how, now that Meghan is a mother, she should allow her father, Thomas Markle, to meet the baby. Yes, in a perfect world, it would be wonderful for the Baby Sussex to have a hands-on grandfather… And of course, a grandfather should have the opportunity to meet their grandchild but I don’t think we are dealing with a regular father here,” she said.

Arbiter said that it wouldn’t make sense for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to bring someone who is as toxic as Thomas into the life of their child. The royal commentator also acknowledged the fact that the former lighting director could potentially cause long-term problems in the royal family’s lives.

“How could she trust him? Meghan could have him come, meet the baby in their new house and then the next day he could be on breakfast TV in the UK telling everyone everything… So why the stress?” she said.

Meanwhile, Arbiter is not the only royal commentator who is convinced that Thomas would not have the chance to meet his grandchild. Royal author Duncan Larcombe also said a similar thing earlier this month. He also said that he cannot find any reason for Markle to allow her dad into her child’s life.

The last time that Markle reached out to her dad was when he wrote him a letter.
