Over the course of 2019, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made quite a few public appearances. Ranging from their engagements during their royal tour in Africa to paying tribute to brave individuals, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been in the public eye on many occasions.

However, the former "Suits" actress currently does not have anything planned for the first month of 2020, which has led to speculation from royal watchers.

According to Express, royal blogger and enthusiast Kate Disick speculated that fans may have to wait longer than they anticipated to see the royal again.

"Last year during December we saw quite a lot of the Duchess of Sussex and many will be disappointed to find out it's likely we'll have to wait for quite some time still until we see the couple and baby Archie next," she said.

Continuing, she added, "Their decision to stay away from Sandringham this year and spend Christmas with Meghan's mum in the USA couldn't have been a light decision, after all, it's Archie's first Christmas and you'd expect there to be traditions and protocols that they should be following, but then again, [Harry and Meghan] have never been sticklers for the rules."

Additionally, she said that the "growing tension" between the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge is likely "not easy" for the British royal family to deal with. Therefore, "taking a break" may be a good idea in order to properly get ready for the new year, which is said to include Kate and Meghan being forced to "step up" in new ways for Queen Elizabeth II.

Aside from working together amid their rumored feud, Meghan and Kate reportedly have separate plans and goals for 2020. It has been said that Meghan has been in touch with her former PR firm as she begins to formulate new plans for her Sussex Royal Foundation, while Kate is said to be planning a special trip with Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
