Meghan Markle's estranged brother, Thomas Markle Jr., realized he was wrong for writing a mean letter addressed to the Duke of Sussex before their royal wedding.

Thomas Jr. is one of the participants in Australia's "Big Brother: VIP." In one episode, he read aloud his apology letter to Prince Harry and Markle over his mean letter for the groom-to-be before their big day. In the letter addressed to Prince Harry, he urged the royal to call off the wedding and warned him that marrying his sister would be the "biggest mistake" in his family. In his most recent letter, Thomas Jr. said what he did was the "worst mistake of his life."

"Dear Meghan and Harry, the first thing I want to say to both of you is that I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart for the awful, mean letter that I wrote to you prior to your wedding," he said as he read the letter per Page Six.

"I want both of you to know it did not come from the real person that I am, but came from a very dark and hurt part of my heart … I am not a mean person at all, and I have more love inside me to give than anything."

Thomas Jr. penned two letters one addressed to Prince Harry and another one to his sister. In his letter to Prince Harry, he said Markle's "tiny bit of Hollywood fame has gone to her head" and turned her into a "jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke out of you and the royal family heritage."

According to Thomas Jr., he was offended when Markle described him as "distant family."

"I was very hurt and confused because of the amazing bond and relationship we shared growing up together and all I could do was put up a defense wall to protect my heart," he continued. "I know that it was very immature and wrong and I truly regret it."

Over a week after Thomas Jr. penned a letter to Prince Harry, he wrote another one for Markle. In his second letter, he asked his sister to send invitations to their royal wedding.

"It does hurt my feelings not getting invited to your wedding, along with the rest of the family," he wrote. "But it's not too late to send me an invite along with your entire family."

According to him, it would be the perfect time to show their love and support for each other "because that's what families do." The Duchess of Sussex didn't respond to his request. The only family member from Markle's side present on her big day was her mom, Doria Ragland.

Both of Thomas Jr.'s letters were published in InTouch Weekly.
