Meghan Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, is the subject of a new romance novel being developed by author Jasmine Guillory.

Guillory shared the news to her followers on Twitter and said that she came up with the concept after seeing one of her friend’s tweets online urging someone to come up with a love story for Ragland since she’s single. The yoga instructor was previously married to Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle, but they split while the Duchess of Sussex was just 2 years old.

Last year, rumors swirled that Ragland would celebrate Christmas with the royal family in Sandringham. Even though she did not spend the holiday with the Royals, librarian Margaret H. Wilson said that she wants a charming romance story to be written about Ragland.

In response to Wilson’s please, the author of the New York Times bestsellers “The Wedding Date” and “The Proposal” stepped up to the plate. She has now written a story about a fictional character named Vivian Forest, 50, who is the mother of Maddie, a fashion stylist who has to travel across the globe to style a British royal.

Vivian joins her daughter to her trip abroad and she soon finds herself smitten with the Queen’s private secretary Malcolm Hudson. Guillory is a fan of royal biographies and the British royal family that’s why she thought that the story would be the perfect idea for her latest endeavor.

“I have a story for you today, Twitter. Remember this tweet?” the author wrote alongside a screenshot of Wilson’s tweet and the cover photo of her upcoming novel, “Royal Holiday,” which will be released on Oct. 1 in the United Kingdom. The book is now up for pre-order on Hello Sunshine website.

In related news, Ragland also made headlines this week after it was reported that she will fly to the UK ahead of Markle’s baby’s birth. Details are being kept under wraps because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex want the royal birth to be kept private.
