Meghan Markle is going through a lot lately. And there are reports suggesting that she has received comfort and support from Queen Elizabeth II, Kate Middleton, and Camilla Parker Bowles.

But royal fans are convinced that three female royals aren’t the ideal people who could help the Duchess of Sussex at the moment. On the online forum site Quora, Lynn Lance, a retired individual, said that now is the best time for Prince Harry’s wife to reach out to her dad.

“Who was the one person, her whole life, that gave her unconditional love and every moment of time that he could find for her? Time and time again? Year after year, day after day? That’s right, dear old Dad,” she said.

When Markle was still very young, she relied on her dad for comfort. Thomas Markle customized his daughter’s Barbie dolls to make them look more like an African-American doll just like her.

When Markle was in school, she found herself unable to tick one box that describes her ethnicity. It was the former lighting director who encouraged his daughter to create her own box and tick it as she sees fit.

Markle and Thomas used to be very close to each other. But they had a falling out last year before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot. Lance said that it would be great if Markle could seek her dad’s comfort. After all, he’s always the person who helped her find her light.

Cheryl Clair, a former housewife, said that what Camilla can do for Markle is give her practice advice on how to deal with the media. Prince Charles’ wife has also been criticized by the press due to her affair with the heir to the throne.

“Camilla handled it really well. She never took to the press to defend herself, though some of it must have been very hurtful. She held her head high and carried on with life. I’m sure she would advise Meghan to do the same thing. But, will Meghan listen to that advice?” she said.
